The Giant’s Causeway is often deemed Northern Ireland’s number one must-visit tourist attraction. Made up of approximately 40,000 basalt columns projecting into the ocean, the Giant’s Causeway forms several miles of Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coastal route. Cracked perfectly like ice on a frozen lake, it stirs the imagination of everyone who visits it. It was once supposed that the Causeway was the handiwork of giant, Finn McCool, who had attempted to build a bridge linking Ireland to Scotland, giving rise to the name – Giant’s Causeway.
